Building a value-led brand for an online retailer

After 11 years of successful trading and organic growth, Kareen Buttle and her son Graeme wanted to take their online retail business to the next level. Specialising in beauty, health, fitness and wellbeing products, they had already begun to rebrand their business in order to attract a more loyal and value-conscious customer base, changing their trading name from Glitterstore to GStores and introducing the strapline, ‘Always Looking Good’. 

Kareen and Graeme were keen to consolidate the repositioning of their brand with the introduction of own-brand product lines, and an increased commitment to content marketing. Following a detailed discussion of their objectives and aspirations, their current product range, customer insights, and target customer groups, I developed a series of target customer personas to help inform their decisions around product development and positioning. Alongside this, I presented recommendations for the development and implementation of a digital channel and content marketing strategy, including specific recommendations for content and channel development to match the needs and interests of their ideal customer groups.
